Austin Mini Countryman Restoration

This 1961 Austin Mini Countryman has just arrived all the way from Colorado. It’s been a longtime father/son project that sadly stalled out due to the passing of the father. We will be finishing off this project and making it a great driver that the family can enjoy in fond remembrance of the family patriarch.

At this point in the project, we’ve installed a 1275cc engine and upgraded the differential in the gearbox to allow for much better freeway cruising speeds. We’ve also updated the car with Cooper S front-disk brakes to improve braking and safety. This is a very solid classic that will be a lot of fun to drive when it’s done. Check out the photo gallery to see the latest progress, and make sure to check back for updates as we forge ahead on this very special project.
