1960 Triumph Italia 2000

The Triumph Italia…A Rare Beauty

It seems like Triumph Italia 2000s are starting to look rather common place around here. Case in point: we just received our fourth Triumph Italia. Previously, we’ve performed ground-up, concours-quality restorations and brought three of these incredibly rare cars back to life. It’s been such a privilege to have worked on these timeless classics and had the opportunity to establish ourselves as one of the premier Italia shops in the world. Designed by Giovanni Michelotti and built by Alfredo Vignale, the Italia is among the more sought-after sports cars available.

The Italia brings together the engineering of Triumph and the design prowess of Giovanni Michelotti.

This particular Italia is in wonderful shape, and as such, is not here for restoration. The owner has entrusted it to us in order to prepare the car for sale. In the rarefied air of the Triumph Italia world, this is a rather a well-known car. It is Chassis #TS 64267 LCO, and car #52 out of approximately 329, making it one of the earlier cars in the three-year production run. Out of the four Italias we’ve had in the shop, this is one of the most complete and original examples we have ever seen. All of the very rare original pieces are intact, which is always the first thing to look for when evaluating an Italia. We still have a few things to take care of, but this legendary and much-sought-after automobile will be for sale very shortly.
