On Sunday July 13th, San Luis Obispo experienced one of its finest and friendliest automobile traditions when the 8th Annual Gathering of Friends All-European Car Show was held at Laguna Lake Park. As usual, the show brought some of the best and most interesting European cars from all over the Central Coast and beyond. The event is true to its name, in that it really is a gathering of friends. It brings the car community together to celebrate the culture and cars of this close-knit community of European automobile enthusiasts. It also gives us a chance to hang out with our customers, share stories, and talk shop.

Over the years, this show has grown to be quite large, but has maintained its laid back and enjoyable atmosphere. It was even jokingly mentioned to us by one of the event founders that it’s slowly turning into a British car show. We’re proud to be part of that as both a sponsor and provider of several British cars for display. This year, we had whole new fleet to show off, including an authentic 1939 SS Jaguar 3.5 Litre Saloon, 1960 Triumph Italia 2000, 1967 Wood & Pickett Cooper S MiniSprint, 1971 British Leyland Mini Cooper S MK3 1275cc, 1952 MG YB, and a 1953 Jaguar XK120 OTS Race Car. In all the years we’ve been a presence at the show, this was probably the finest lineup we’ve ever presented.

We look forward to this event every year and always happy to be a part of it. We took tons of photos of the fantastic cars on display, so be sure to take a moment to check out the gallery.
