There’s no time like summer for car shows, and the San Luis Obispo Concours is one of the best on the Central Coast. Benefiting Hospice of San Luis Obispo, the show attracts a fantastic and eclectic group of automobiles that are a real treat to see. All the folks at Hospice and the show volunteers go out of their way every year to ensure the event is a success. So it was no big surprise that this year’s show featured a wide variety of amazing local cars as well cars from all over the state. This show is a great reminder of how active the car community is in our little neck of the woods. The diverse selection of cars, motorcycles, and vintage trailers was something to behold. There was something for just about every kind of motoring enthusiast. One of the coolest vehicles on display was a GM Futureliner that was rescued from the scrap pile and wonderfully restored into a transporter.

Our very own Phil Honer chose this event to unveil his immaculately restored 1967 Jaguar E-Type, the result of a decade-long labor of love. Phil’s efforts were rewarded with not only a First in Class award, but Best Jaguar as well.

Below, you’ll find dozens of photos from the event. If you enjoy getting up close and personal with classic cars, then this event should be on your calendar. And if you have a classic of your won that you’d like to share with fellow enthusiasts, then by all means consider entering next year! You can stay tuned for event information on the San Luis Obispo Concours website.
