We blogged back in September 2013 that Jaguar had developed a concept for a new SUV they were thinking about putting into production. Jaguar calls this SUV the C-X17, and we just heard that Jaguar plans to put this car into production for unveiling in 2016. The price point is said to be around £30,000 (pounds sterling) and the car is to compete with the Audi QX5 and BMW X3. Many of you may be thinking why would they be producing an SUV to compete again there sister company Land Rover? Well, Jaguar’s answer to this is that the C-X17 will be taking a much sportier approach to the SUV market where Land Rover takes and off-road approach. We love where Jaguar has been heading these last few years so we’ll be eagerly awaiting the release of the C-X17.
