There’s a new British automaker about to take the stage and unveil its latest creation, which is said to be a little bit of old combined with a little bit of new. English businessman and car enthusiast David Brown will be launching his new car company know as David Brown Automotive in April, and will be unveiling a car he says will have “classically-inspired exterior design, with the latest in performance, dynamics, technology” and that he hopes “to refresh the classic British sports car, for the 21st Century.”
He will be building a completely new car from the ground up and has turned to Alan Mobberley, who was Chief Designer at Land Rover for nineteen years, to lead his team. Starting a new car company in this day and age is a huge undertaking, but we can’t wait to see what he and his team comes up with. And just so there’s no confusion, this is not the same David Brown of Aston Martin fame. There is not much known about this company at this point, or the car they are planning to produce, but we’ll be sure to keep you updated on what we hear.
