Another amazing car just popped up and it turns out it’s been under our noses only two miles from our shop in downtown San Luis Obispo, California. This time, it’s a 1947 MG TC that has been sitting in a barn untouched since 1957. Sadly, the owner of the MG had passed away, leaving the car to his wife and family. When we went to see the car, she said that she had been married for 48 years and her husband had the car when she met him. In fact, she had never seen the car in running condition. Once we had purchased the car, we found that it was still registered and titled to the original owner in Stockton, California. The car had not been on the road since 1957, so they never did any Department Of Motor Vehicles paperwork.
This is a truly amazing rust and accident-free car sitting in a barn since 1957 and still titled in the original owner’s name. All this and it was only two miles away! This is one of the most amazing barn find cars we have ever found.
Amazing find! I noticed that there appears to be two different dashboards for the TC. Is one a British dashboard and the other intended for the USA? Can’t wait to see the finished restoration.
One of the dash boards is out of an MG TD. I believe the owner wanted to do a left hand drive conversion and was going to swap dashboards.
Is this MG TC for sale and how much
