Every so often we get a car through our doors that is so cool we just have to blog about it. This is definitely the case with this 1957 AC Aceca Bristol. This particular car is Chassis #BEX665, and was brought to us to get back on the road after many years of restoration and storage. The electrical was a complete mess as the car had been rewired by someone not familiar with Lucas electrics. Luckily, we got Peter Jurgens on the job, and he had the electric sorted out in no time at all. We completely went through the fuel and cooling system, and once done, the car started right up and sounded great.
These are amazing cars that were made famous by Carroll Shelby when he removed the engine and installed a Ford V8 engine. It is very cool to see one of these cars completely stock, as so many were made into Cobras. Please feel free to ask questions and leave comments.
Very nice car!
Oooooo that’s nice. Pure 1950s British luxury sports car.
