This 1969 Jaguar XKE came in with the restoration nearly completed. The project was started nearly twenty years ago, and then stalled once the owner/restorer found a few issues with the car. It’s a really solid vehicle, but the car just never drove like an XKE should. Once we got our hands into it, we found several problems with the engine, transmission, and body that would need fixing. What started out as a repair job has turned into a restoration project of our own.
The car is now back from the paint and body shop, and looks great. All of the prior issues have now been fixed, and we are starting the assembly process. The Jaguar XKE is not the easiest car to restore, and takes a lot of patienc,e but they are sure beautiful cars once done correctly.
We have fully rebuilt the engine and transmission, making sure it’s going to run and drive beautifully. The Jaguar XK engine is a great engine, and is very smooth and powerful when tuned right. We hope to have this car back on the road very soon, so check back often to follow the progress of this restoration.
