We here at British Sports Cars are all huge fans of the original Mini Cooper and have restored and serviced many of them over the years, but we have never seen one quite like this. What you are looking at is a 1973 Mini Cooper with a Honda B-series motor and transmission installed. There has been a conversion kit for this out on the market for some time, but this is the first one we have been lucky enough to get our hands on.

At first glance the car looks completely stock, but on close inspection you’ll notice that there is a one-piece fiberglass front nose that is four inches longer than a stock Mini. Once the front end is lifted, you’ll notice there’s a completely custom sub-frame installed to make this conversion work. The Honda B-series motor with V-Tec is an excellent motor that has great power and revs very high. Coupled with the Honda 6-speed transmission this car is an absolute hand full to drive and is one of the quickest cars on the road.

This particular car has been subject to a full ground-up restoration and is an absolutely beautiful car. We are very lucky to have such a cool car come through our doors. The car is now in the hands of its new owner here locally and we are sure he will have the time of his life with this little car. This is one Mini that we would love to add to our collection.
